Our Founder Howard Douglas

WRBLO / Our Founder Howard Douglas

Howard embodies vibrancy, resilience, and a passionate commitment to uplifting others. Born in the UK as the eldest of four children of Jamaican parents, he has been profoundly influenced by his father, a loving and supportive figure whose positive impact has shaped his life.

From a young age, Howard cultivated a sense of purpose inspired by his father’s unwavering faith in God and the powerful biblical principles he instilled in his children.

This foundation fuelled Howard’s endearing belief in THE GOD OF THE BIBLE, allowing him to imagine himself as a participant in the remarkable stories he studied. Howard’s childhood faith and experiences guided his journey and have also ignited a mature and unwavering dedication to make a difference in the world.

Like his Dad, the late Reverend Ken Douglas, Howard became an activist defending the rights of poor black people, which he acknowledges as his Dad’s legacy. In 1978, the BBC produced a documentary that provided some insight into the early struggles that his Dad and most immigrants encountered. The Everyman Production, entitled Gospel Heroes, captured the struggles of his Dad’s generation and the hope, reliance, and fortitude they placed in GOD.

Howard is alarmed at the disparity in living standards across Africa. He feels honoured to be continuing his Dad’s legacy by aiming to deliver a phenomenal impact, facilitating economic growth at the grassroots and assisting Deprived Communities in Africa in collaboration with Integral Dynamic Social Investors. This effort seeks to cultivate and plant seeds of innovation at the epicentre of poverty, where sustainable change is most needed.
